Awesome time yesterday at the Stumptown Comics Fest. The convention is very creator focused, featuring the people behind original, self-produced indie style stuff rather than the typical vendors selling back issues of superhero books (not that I have anything against superhero books). There were even a number of galleries representing Portland’s high class/lowbrow art & illustration scene. Spent a few hours there and picked up some goods.
As usual, photos are bad but they link to each artist’s website.

Cricket by Keith Carter; 11 x 8.5 print.

Doodle from Compound Gallery Show by Jennifer Parks; 8 x 5.5 print, 2/50.

Object 5 by Killian Eng; gorgeous book, weird as hell, produced by Floating World Comics (a shop here in PDX).

Cryptozoology by Reid Psaltis; this little book features both the Thylacine and Coelocanth - I was sold immediately.

Dune by Dalton James Rose, 11 x 17 print, 18/20; the crown jewel of yesterday's acquisitions.
